Woman injured in two-vehicle accident

MECOSTA COUNTY — A Mount Pleasant woman was injured after rear-ending another vehicle Friday in Mecosta County.

Mecosta County Sheriff”s deputies were dispatched to the accident at 5 p.m. on 9 Mile Road near 20th Ave. A 53-year-old Mecosta woman was waiting to turn into Family Dollar when the 19-year-old Mount Pleasant woman struck her.

The 19-year-old sustained minor injuries during the crash and was transported to the emergency room in Mount Pleasant. Deputies were assisted on scene by Wheatland Township Fire/Rescue and Mecosta County EMS.
