Media Smart Youth program begins Feb. 13

HEALTHY MINDS: Teen leaders for Media Smart Youth stole the show at WYBR on Friday with the announcement of their program. Michigan State University Extension’s Media Smart Youth Project is hosting an Eat, Think and Be Active program for kids ages 11 to 13. The free 10-session program will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. beginning Feb. 13 at St. Peter’s School, located at 408 W. Bellevue St. The goal of the program is to teach youth about the media’s role in influencing healthy choices and teaching them skills to help make educated food choices.
