Folk-rock group ‘Bennett’ to perform Thursday

BIG RAPIDS — Formed only three years ago in Grand Rapids, the three-piece folk-rock group “Bennett” has garnered success in regional competitions and performed alongside musicians such as Easton Corbin.

This week, they will play a free concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, at the University Center on the campus of Ferris State University, located at 805 Campus Dr., Big Rapids.

Bringing independent artists — those without the backing of a record label — to perform is the goal of the Independent Showcase Concert Series of the FSU Music Industry Management Association. This concert is presented in conjunction with the 2015 Festival of the Arts.
