POLICE BLOTTER: Drunk driver arrested after hit-and-run

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls on Wednesday. All calls might not be reported.


  • Police received a credit card fraud complaint at 8:24 a.m. on the 700 block of Fuller Avenue. The complainant’s daughter took $400 of her mother’s Social Security.
  • Police received a credit card fraud complaint at DPS. The complainant’s daughter opened up a couple credit cards using her mom’s name and made multiple purchases.
  • A 33-year-old Big Rapids man was arrested for operating while intoxicated second offense and leaving the scene of an accident after a hit-and-run accident on the 300 block of Fuller Avenue.
