Morley woman charged with delivering prescription medications

BIG RAPIDS  — A Central Michigan Enforcement Team investigation led to the arrest of a Morley woman delivering prescription medications.

Rosa Marie May, 41, of Morley, was arraigned Monday in Mecosta County's 77th District Court on multiple felony drug charges. May is charged with four counts of delivery of hydromorphone, one count of delivery of oxycodone, two counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, one count of maintaining a drug house, one count of use of hydromorphone and four felony firearm counts.

According to court documents, most of the offenses occurred throughout March 2015 in Aetna Township. The arresting agency was CMET.

Hydromorphone and oxycodone are both narcotic pain relievers that must be prescribed by a doctor, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Delivery of hydromorphone is a felony, carrying a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a fine of $10,000.

Bond for May is set at $150,000. Her preliminary examination is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, in Mecosta County's 77th District Court.
