Morley woman pinned in vehicle after striking trees Sunday

DEERFIELD TWP.  — A Morley woman was pinned in her vehicle Sunday after an accident in Deerfield Township.

Around 4:20 a.m., Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on 150th Avenue near Eisenhower Road. A 29-year-old Morley woman was found pinned in the vehicle. The accident occurred when the driver fell asleep, ran off the road and struck several trees.

Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the accident. The driver was taken to Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies were assisted by Mecosta County EMS and Morley Area Fire/Rescue.
