One woman injured in three-vehicle accident in Remus

REMUS — A Bellevue woman sustained minor injuries from a three-vehicle accident Friday in Remus.

At 5:10 p.m. on July 31, Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the personal-injury accident on 9 Mile Road near 25th Ave.

The accident occurred when an 83-year-old Mecosta woman was stopped to turn left into Fates Market. A 25-year-old Westphalia woman was able to stop, but the 36-year-old Bellevue woman was unable to stop, rear-ending the Westphalia woman’s vehicle and pushing her it into the Mecosta woman’s vehicle.

The Bellevue woman was transported to a Mount Pleasant Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Deputies on scene were assisted by Wheatland Fire/Rescue and EMS.
