Excel and Internet classes teach residents useful computer skills

BIG RAPIDS — Area residents who wish to sharpen their computer skills will have the opportunity to participate in two different classes beginning Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Beginning Internet 101 and Microsoft Excel 101, taught by instructor Christine Cox, will teach residents the skills they need to use the Internet safely and effectively as well as basic Microsoft Excel skills.

Both classes are taught in room No. 6 at the Big Rapids Middle School on Tuesdays from Oct. 27 to Nov. 10. Beginning Internet 101 will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m.  and Microsoft Excel 101 will be taught from 6 – 7:30 p.m.

The Internet is a great tool for residents who want to pay their bills online, connect with family and more, Cox said.

Those interested in signing up for either program should call (231) 592-4038 or visit brpr.org.
