Public forum addresses Evart bond proposal

EVART — Members of the community who have questions regarding the Evart Public Schools bond renewal proposal can receive answers during a public forum.

The gathering will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, at the Evart Middle School auditorium. There, residents can learn more information about the $8.4 million bond renewal, which will extend the bond for an additional 25 years. The renewal is lower, at 2.44 mills, and if the proposal passes, residents in the EPS district will pay the same rate they currently pay.

For more information, contact the EPS superintendent’s office at (231) 734-5594.
