Fish fry Fridays benefit Catholic schools

MECOSTA COUNTY — Fish fry Fridays scheduled at both St. Mary Catholic School and St. Michael Catholic School throughout Lent will benefit students.

St. Mary’s events will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Fridays from now through March 18 at St. Mary’s Parish Center, 1009 Marion Ave., Big Rapids. All proceeds will benefit St. Mary school. The suggested donation amounts are $9 for adults, $6 for children under 12 and children under 3 eat free.

St. Michael’s dinners take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Fridays from now through March 18 at the school, located at 8944 50th Ave., Remus. Proceeds from the fish fry will go to the school. Dinner prices are $10 for adults, $9.50 for take-out meals, $9 for seniors age 60 and older, $5 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and younger.
