POLICE BLOTTER: Bike reported stolen Tuesday

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls on Tuesday. All calls might not be reported.


  • Police received a walk-in complaint of a stolen bike at 8:45 a.m. at DPS.
  • Officers assisted the parole department at 10:42 a.m. with the arrest and transport of a 22-year-old man from the 300 block of Pine Street.
  • A key fob for a Dodge vehicle was found at the Brookside Elementary baseball fields.
  • Police received a complaint of suspicious activity at 2:52 p.m. on the 700 block of South State Street.
  • A vehicle accident occurred at State Street near Perry Avenue. The at-fault driver was cited.
  • Officers assisted the Central Michigan Enforcement Team.
  • Police received a report of a car-deer accident on Fourth Avenue. The deer fled the scene.
  • A credit card was reported stolen on the 100 block of South Michigan Avenue.
