One injured in accident Thursday

MECOSTA COUNTY — A Big Rapids man experienced a medical issue and ran his vehicle into a tree Thursday in Mecosta County.

Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched at 12:30 p.m. to the one vehicle personal injury accident. Police found a 52-year-old Big Rapids man had a medical issue, ran off the roadway and struck a tree. He was transported by EMS to Spectrum Health Big Rapids hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Morley Rescue and Mecosta County EMS.
