BIG RAPIDS — Holiday break begins for students throughout the area on Friday, Dec. 22, and many can celebrate the week leading up to break with Christmas-themed dress up days.

At Big Rapids High School, today, Tuesday, Dec. 19, is Comfy Day and Wednesday is Class Color Day, during which each class wears a different color. Freshmen can show their school spirit by wearing blue, sophomores by wearing white, juniors by wearing green and seniors by wearing red. Thursday is Ugly Sweater Day and Friday is Flannel Friday.

Elementary students at Crossroads Charter Academy can remember the different dress-up days by their song name reference. Students can create a “White Christmas” by dressing in white at school today, Tuesday. Wednesday is all about “Hot Chocolate,” during which students can wear their pajamas and slippers to school similar to the children on the Polar Express. On Thursday, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” with students dressing in their red suits and hats. Students can wear green and red with a “Mexican flair” on Friday to represent the classic tune, “Feliz Navidad.”
