Janet Macunovich to discuss ‘Trashing the Landscape’

BIG RAPIDS — Janet Macunovich, garden designer and author, will return to Big Rapids Tuesday, Feb. 13, for a Festival of the Arts presentation “Trashing the Landscape: When It’s a Good Thing!” at 1 p.m. in the Miller Wing of the Mecosta-Osceola Career Center.

Macunovich will discuss how to incorporate recycled materials, including yard waste, into landscaping projects. She is expected to cover topics ranging from soil preparation and plants to fences, gates, paths and more.

Macunovich is a professional gardener and garden designer who writes gardening columns for newspapers and magazines, hosts a radio show and is a Michigan State University Extension Master Gardener.
