Josh Dorn play final hoops game for Evart

Josh Dorn (32)

EVART — Josh Dorn was among the six seniors who said goodbye to the Evart boy basketball team when the Wildcats’ season ended at 3-18.

The Wildcats had to play all of the season without junior guard Carter Pritchard and that loss seemed to have a major impact.

“We played OK, we just need to get better on defense,” Dorn said after a game later in the season, “especially on helpside defense.”

It was in that game, against Lake City, when Dorn had a season-high 16 points. His strength was scoring in the post.

“I really improved on my defense this year,” Dorn said.

It was his second varsity season, and Dorn indicated he’s displayed plenty of improvement.

‘I’ve improved in my whereabouts and knowing how to play,” Dorn said.

He enjoyed a strong season with football in the fall and Dorn is set to play baseball this spring, and will try to help the Wildcats be Highland Conference contenders.
