REED CITY — The Central State Activities Association all-conference soccer team was recently announced and included three players from Reed City and two from Chippewa Hills.

The players from Reed City are Taylor Harrison and Karlie Kearns on the first team and Makayla Roggow on the honorable mention list.

Honorees for Chippewa Hills were Isabel Bitler on the first team and Raina Abbott on the honorable mention list.

Harrison is a sophomore midfielder with 12 goals and five assists, who scored on 44 percent of her shots on goal.

Kearns is a sophomore midfielder with five goals and six assists.

“She’s a dynamic playmaker,” Reed City assistant coach Neil Harrison said.

Makayla Roggow was a senior midfielder with eight goals and three assists. She was also a captain.

For Chippewa Hills, Bitler is a sophomore keeper, who had 190 saves for a GAA of 4.1.

“That kept us in a lot of games,” Warrior coach Brad Gandy said. “Isabel continues to learn more and more each year on the position of keeper. This year she was a lot more aggressive and playing out of the net to cut off oncoming shooters. She is one of our team captains, has a positive attitude and is a good role model for our team both inside and outside of school.”

Abbott played a key role for the Warriors, who finished seventh out of eight teams in Chippewa Hills’ first year of CSAA soccer competition.
