Volunteer drivers line up for annual inspection

Mecosta County Sheriff’s Deputy Karen Hard spent Wednesday morning at the Mecosta County Commission on Aging and Senior Center, performing the annual vehicle inspections required for volunteer drivers who help with medical transportation and meal delivery. In turn, each driver pulled into the inspection area — marked off by walkers — to chat with Hard as she went through the checklist, which included lights, signals and a test of the vehicle’s horn.
