CHSD board approves new van purchase

REMUS — In keeping up with plans to replace the aging vehicles used throughout the Chippewa Hills School District, board of education members approved purchasing a 10-passenger van during their meeting on Tuesday.

The van comes at a cost of approximately $26,000 from Krapohl Ford and Lincoln in Mount Pleasant.

Also during the meeting, board members:

• approved adopting a Voice Over IP phone system, which will go into effect this summer;

• discussed options in repairing or replacing signage along M-66, because the wood on the sign is deteriorating;

• revised the 2017/18 budget; and

• adopted the 2018/19 budget.
