United Church window gets improvements

David Wiskirchen, of Wiskirchen Studios, which works on stained glass windows, interiors and more, secures new Plexiglass panels to the outside of the stained glass window of the United Church in Big Rapids on Tuesday. The exterior Plexiglass protects the stained glass itself from the elements, preserving the window. Wiskirchen replaced the previous panels, which had grown cloudy and yellowed. The new, clear panels allow more light to stream through the window, creating a brighter image for the worshipers in the sanctuary. (Pioneer photos/Candy Allan)
