MECOSTA, OSCEOLA COUNTIES — Residents of Mecosta and Osceola counties have the chance to make a difference by voting in today’s primary election.

“It’s your right to vote and you should express your right,” said Marcee Purcell, Mecosta County clerk. “The primary is a good time to get out and express your opinion.”

Osceola County Clerk Karen Bluhm added the primary election is when many local decisions are determined.

With a variety of candidates on the ballot for both local and statewide elections, as well as several county and township millage proposals, the results of the primary could have a significant impact on these communities.

Polls will be open to voters between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. today.
