REED CITY — Kamryn Myers is one of only two seniors on the Reed City team looking to spark the Coyotes to plenty of success this season.

Reed City is coming off a semifinal finish in the Big Rapids Cardinal Invitational. The Coyotes play at Grant on Tuesday in Central State Activities Association Gold Division action and are at the Grant Invitational on Saturday. The next home match is on Sept. 18 with Tri County.

Myers is in her second varsity season.

“I think we’ll be pretty good,” Myers said coming into the season. “We’re pretty good skill wise.”

Myers, also active in basketball and softball, indicated she did plenty of summer volleyball to get ready for the fall season.

In volleyball, “I think I’ll be improved a lot,” she said. “I’m a left hitter. I’m pretty good at getting the ball down and passing. I can jump pretty high. I serve and I pass.”

On her serving, “my ball moves a lot,” Myers said, adding on passing “you need to keep low.”
