Warrior volleyball team having success under new coach

REMUS — Hali Williams has been coaching a Chippewa Hills volleyball team enjoying some success this season.

The Warriors had a Central State Activities Association Gold Division win over Newaygo on Wednesday. They playde Tuesday at Tri County in Central State Activities Association Gold Division action.

Williams replaced CJ Blaha, who is now coaching at Midland Dow.

Williams coached two years on the JV level.

“The ones who are seniors now I had as freshmen,” she said.

Overall the Warriors are 19-17 in games, combining tournament and duals. Chippewa Hills won the Silver Division at the Beaverton Invitational.

The Warriors are at the Lakeview Invitational on Sept. 15.

The Warriors only have three home matches this season. The next one is Sept. 18 with Grant.
