REED CITY — Snow is coming more often and the precipitation is expected to continue.

For some people, these are the signs to begin their holiday shopping for family members and friends. One way to start filling the space under the Christmas tree is stopping at the annual Trinity Lutheran Church and School CHRISTmas Bazaar, set for 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17. The bazaar will take place in the church and school building at 19778 U.S.-10, Reed City.

“All the crafts and baked goods are donated,” said Rosalee Donley, one of the co-chairs for the event.

Donley noted without having booth spaces for rent, and receiving crafts and sweets, allows for all proceeds to go toward the church and school to help cover general expenses.

Saturday’s event will include hand-crafted and gently-used items, along with baked goods, and more craft donations are welcome. Also available will be make-and-take crafts for children and a lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will come at a nominal fee.

Donley said raffle drawings also will take place during the event.

“We generally have a really good turnout. There are lots of wonderful crafts and baked goods,” Donley said, noting if families cannot attend the CHRISTmas Bazaar, there will be another bazaar in April.
