Mecosta County 77th District Court reports

BIG RAPIDS — The following cases were heard this week in Mecosta County’s 77th District Court. All cases may not be reported.

• Gabrielle Marjorie Schmidt, 22, of Big Rapids, pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated. She was sentenced to 15 days in jail and given credit for serving one day. She also must complete 48 hours of community service and six months of probation. Schmidt also must pay fines and court fees.

• Miles Timothy Luft, 35, of Milan, pleaded guilty to operating while impaired and possession of open alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail for each offense, and given credit for serving one day. The balance of his jail term will be served over 15 consecutive weekends. Luft must complete one year of probation and outpatient treatment. He also must pay fines and court fees.

• Alina Nicoleta Small, 28, of Big Rapids, pleaded guilty to third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to time served. Small also must pay fines and court fees.

• Sierra Crystal Cruz, 30, of Morley, pleaded guilty to third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to 45 days in jail and given credit for serving one day. Cruz also must pay fines and court fees.

• George B. Crank Jr., 32, of Grand Rapids, pleaded guilty to assault and battery. He was sentenced to time served. He also must pay fines and court fees.

• Neal Barton Guss, 26, of Stanwood, pleaded guilty to third-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to 93 days in jail and given credit for serving 34 days. He also must pay fines and court fees.
