Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital to offer CPR class

BIG RAPIDS — Area residents have the opportunity to learn a potentially lifesaving skill next week.

The cardiac rehabilitation team with Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital will be hosting a free, one-hour CPR training class from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, at the hospital, 605 Oak St., Big Rapids, in the third-floor classroom.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, is a technique used in many emergencies during which a person’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped, and correctly performing this technique could save someone’s life.

People interested in participating are asked to register by Friday, Feb. 8, by calling (231) 592-4204.
