Detectives from the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety are searching for white man in his early 40s with a slender build, who drives an early-2000s red GMC Sierra extended cab truck, according to a release from Detective Brian Miller.

The man is wanted in connection with the March 31 larceny of a yellow 2000 Lone Wolf trailer. The larceny wasn’t reported to DPS until April 12.

The trailer has red wheels, a drop-back frame with a spare tire in the front. It was filled with approximately $1,500 worth of scrap metal.

Footage obtained from a business across the street from a worksite showed the suspect getting gas prior to hooking the trailer to his truck and heading north on North State Street.

Anyone with information about the man should contact DPS at (231) 527-0005.
