MORLEY —It’s been a solid sophomore season for Morley Stanwood’s Aivery Devereaux.

Her main open event has been the 800 meters which included a personal record of 2:40.32 at the Central Montcalm Hornet Invitational. She has also been on the 4×400 and 4×800 relays, which have had strong seasons.

“Last year started kind of rough but then it got better,” Devereaux said.

Early in the season, she said her goal in the 800 was for a new personal record.

Mission accomplished.

Devereaux was hoping to do well in the conference and wound up fourth in the CSAA Silver meet.

She said the 4×400 was her best relay team.

“We want to improve our time by a lot,” she said. The squad was third in the CSAA Silver meet and took first in two league duals and one invitational.

The Mohawks enjoyed a strong squad this season which scored a lot of points.

“We’re strong in a lot of our events,” she said.
