POLICE BLOTTER: Arrests made for felonious assault, disturbing the peace

BIG RAPIDS — The following reports were taken recently by the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety. All calls might not be reported.

Friday

• A domestic/felonious assault was recorded on the 300 block of South Bronson Avenue. A 39-year-old woman was arrested on both charges.

Saturday

• Police responded to a urinating in public complaint at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Elm Street. A 21-year-old man was cited for urinating in public and released.

Sunday

• At 10:35 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of State and Spring streets after a caller advised she found a man laying in the road. Police found that a 23-year-old man had been riding his bicycle along the sidewalk and ran into a detour sign for construction, causing him to fall off his bike and into the roadway. He was taken to the emergency room with minor injuries.

Monday

• Police responded to the 700 block of East Madison Street at about 12:30 a.m. for a threats complaint.

• Police responded to a disorderly conduct complaint in the 100 block of North Michigan at about 11:57 a.m. A 59-year-old man was arrested for disorderly disturbing the peace and hindering/obstructing police.

• Officers responded to a larceny complaint at Parkview Village. A possible suspect has been identified. Investigation into the matter is continuing.
