EVART — Car lovers from all around are invited to gawk at this year’s annual Evart Car Show.

Hosted by the Evart Car Club, drivers will have the opportunity to flaunt their cars and answer questions from curious show-goers.

“The purpose of the show is for a group of people with a common interest to get together, meet new friends, socialize and discuss and learn from each other,” Evart Car Club President Doug Trembath said. “We’re going to have cars from all over the state in attendance.”

The club is expecting over 100 vehicles, with a variety of styles and models.

“There’s an appreciation of other people’s work here,” Trembath said.

Many people are known to bring chairs and canopies to relax under after they spend the day walking around the show.

If parents are interested in attending, Trembath tells them not to leave their kids at home, as this is a family-oriented event with a playground for the younger crowd.

There also will be vendors selling crafts and food, and guests will have the opportunity to purchase a t-shirt and hat from the car club to remember this year’s show.

For those who have never been to an Evart Car Club Show, Trembath encourages them to come check it out.

“We have a good time,” he said. “It’s a worth-while experience.”

The Annual Car Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, at Riverside Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Those interested in registering their car can sign up before Monday, Aug. 26, and pay $15 per car. Last-minute submissions will pay $20 per car the day of the show.

Guests have free admission.
