POLICE BLOTTER: 22-year-old man arrested for drunken driving

BIG RAPIDS — Big Rapids Department of Public Safety officers responded to the following calls on Thursday. All calls might not be reported.

• A traffic stop led to a 46-year-old woman being cited for having an unregistered vehicle and driving with a suspended license, second offense.

• A traffic stop led to a 22-year-old man being cited for driving without insurance.

• A 63-year-old man was cited and released for driving with a denied/revoked license.

• A mental patient was located in the 200 block of Pemberton Avenue.

• Officers responded to several car accidents throughout the day.

• Officers assisted the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office with a search for a retail fraud suspect.

• A traffic stop led to a 22-year-old man being arrested for drunken driving with a high blood-alcohol content and refusing a preliminary breath test.
