Reed City’s soccer team enjoy huge season

REED CITY — Reed City’s girls soccer team had another solid season under second-year coach Andrea Pollaski.

The Coyotes were 10-4-1 in the CSAA for third place and 13-4-1 overall.

“We scored more goals and had a better record percentage than past seasons,” Pollaski said. “We won the BR Crossroads tournament.”

Reed City had four girls get all-conference honors with Taylor Harrison, Karlie Kearns, Mackenzie Wein and Claudia Francke. Harrison and Kearns earned all-district acclaim.

“Our team should look pretty similar next year,” Pollaski said. “We lose five seniors, but will have enough up coming talent to not falter.”

Harrison a junior, center midfielder, had a 4.0 GPA, and collected 15 goals and 19 assists.

Kearns, a junior right midfielder, had 17 goals and 14 assists.

Francke, a sophomore, left midfielder, had 16 goals and 10 assists.

Wein, a junior center midfielder, had 12 goals and eight assists.
